Youth Announcements 9/4/19

Good morning and happy September! Hard to believe the summer has ended and school has started! With that, things are getting very busy around here again. So please take note of the following:

1) We start YES Groups back up again TONIGHT at 7pm. Looking forward to a great school year.

2) SNAC is this Sunday night (9/8) after church. Please bring a snack/dessert to share. Drinks are provided. Parents, we'll finish up right around 9pm. Bring a friend!

3) Guys, our Father/Son Bible study will be starting again on 9/8. This fall, we will be studying the book Disciplines of a Godly Man by Kent Hughes. Go ahead and order the book and we'll discuss the first chapter on 9/8. We will meet Sunday afternoons at 4pm.

4) Next Wednesday (9/11), we'll have our first Willow Brooke outreach of the school year. Please plan to meet at the church at 5:30.

5) Also next Wednesday, our HBBI class begins at 7:30pm (following YES Groups). This semester we're studying Doctrines IV (the Church and Last Things). Please sign up in the Welcome Center ASAP. Class will run 7:30-8:30 Wednesday evenings.

6) Girls' Bible Study begins on Monday, September 16 from 7:00-8:30 at our home (4109 Pennington Rd.). The topic this semester will be how to handle emotions biblically.

7) Parents, please remember we have our first Equipping Meeting after the evening service on 9/22. This will be a short (about 20 min) meeting designed to suggest resources and help think through topics related to your teens.

Youth Announcements 8/14/19

Good morning,

Couple things to take note of:

1) Youth Group starts tonight at 7pm! Hope you can make it out!

2) Our end of summer youth activity is August 31. We will meet at the church at 2:30pm that Saturday afternoon and go to High Seas Miniature Golf in Indian Land! Cost is $7/teen for unlimited play. We'll play for a couple hours, then go across the street to Freddy's for dinner. Please let me know ASAP if you can make it so we can arrange transportation. We will plan to be back at the church around 6:30pm.

3) On Sunday, September 1 we will have combined breakfast/SS kickoff with everyone in the Hansen building. The following week, we will have Youth SS starting in 305 (9/8).

4) Hard to believe we're almost to the end of summer! A few additional dates to keep in mind as we look into September: YES Groups weekly starting (9/4), SNAC (9/8), Father/Son Bible Study weekly starting (9/8), Willow Brooke Ministry (9/11), HBBI weekly starting (9/11), Girls' Bible Study alternating weeks starting (9/16), Parent Equipping Meeting (9/22), Friday Night Game Night (9/27). Please mark your calendars!

Youth Announcements 5/22/19

Good morning!

Hope you're doing well. Please see the following announcements:

1) Tonight is our final YES groups of the school year. We'll have some light refreshments to celebrate (no need to bring anything). We will begin our Summer program next week on 5/29. 

2)  Our youth t-shirts are in! I will have them available for pickup (with payment) tonight! As a reminder: long sleeve are $16, short sleeve are $12. 

3) ADVENTURE AIR: Please let me know if you are planning to attend our Adventure Air activity on 5/31. Cost is $20/teen for 1.5 hours. We'll bounce from 6:30-8:00pm and grab dinner afterwards. We will leave the church at 5:45pm and plan to be back around 9pm. Again, please let me know if you're coming so we can arrange transportation. Also, please be sure that you have filled out the waiver online. (very important)

4) The Wilds- we still have some spots left for the Wilds. If you haven't registered yet, please get your registration in ASAP!

Youth Announcements 4/10/19

Good morning,

Hope you are doing well. Please see the following announcements: 

1) YES Groups tonight at 7PM. 

2) Friday Night Game Night is this Friday (4/12) from 7-9pm at our house (4109 Pennington Rd). Please bring a snack/game/dessert to share!

3) Service Opportunity: we have been asked to help set up for the Easter Sunrise Service Easter morning (4/21). We will have about 150 chairs that need to be set up outside, and will need a lot of help setting up. We will need to meet at the church at 6:15 that morning. Please let me know if you are available to help. 

4) Our next Mission Trip Meeting is this Sunday, 4/14 following the evening service. 

5) On Sunday, April 28, instead of SNAC we will be having a TACO Sunday! (see attached). We will provide transportation to/from Taco Bell in the church van for those who need it. I'll give more details as we get closer. 

6) Be thinking of who you can invite to ALCATRAZ! Here's the link to register. As always, rising 7th graders are welcome and encouraged to attend! 

7) The Wilds- I've attached the registration form for the Wilds. I've also included the memory verses for both JBC and Teen camp as I know many of you like to work ahead. It's not too late to register, but spots will be filling up quickly as we get closer.

Hope everyone is having a great week. Here are a few announcements for you: 

1) YES groups tonight at 7pm!

2) Friday Night Game Night is this Friday night (3/1) at the Carrier's home from 7-9pm. Please bring a snack/game/dessert to share and let me know if you need the address. 

3) Guys, our Father/Son Bible study will continue Sunday afternoon at 4pm. Please have chapter 3 read and ready to discuss. 

4) Girls' Bible Study is next Monday night (3/4) at our home from 7-8:30pm. 

5) We still have spots available for camp this summer (July 8-13), but please try to get your registrations in ASAP.

Youth Announcements 1/2/19

Happy New Year! Hope you all had a wonderful time celebrating with family and friends. Please see the following announcements: 

1) YES Groups tonight at 7pm! 

2) Our next Friday Night Game Night will be next Friday, January 11 from 7-9 pm at Charles and Heather Smith's house. Please bring a game/snack/dessert to share.

3) HBBI is starting back up again on January 16. Remember, if you are planning to go on the mission trip this summer (announcement coming soon), you need to pass either Fall or Spring HBBI. I'll be teaching NT Survey II this semester. Sign up is in the vestibule. 

4) Parent Meeting- January 13 following the evening service. I have had a number of questions and conversations lately regarding youth and technology, specifically cell phones. In addition to laying out the calendar for the year, my goal at this meeting will be to address some of these questions and offer some practical help and tips.

5) Evangelistic Meetings- January 20-25. The week of our Galkin Evangelistic Meetings, we will have an Ultimate Frisbee Tournament youth event on Thursday night starting at 5pm. Go ahead and start inviting friends now! This will be here before we know it!

6) February 1 is the early bird deadline for the Wilds (less than 1 month away)!

2) Friday Night Game Night is this Friday night at our home (4109 Pennington Rd) from 7-9pm. Please bring a game/snack/dessert to share. 

3) Our Youth Christmas Party is just around the corner- December 14 from 6-9pm at the church. Please plan to bring a white elephant gift for the exchange!

4) Please plan to join us for church-wide Christmas Caroling on Wednesday, December 19.

Youth Announcements 11/7/18

Good morning,

Hope everyone is having a great week. Thank you all for your participation in the youth service on Sunday! Everyone did a phenomenal job and I really appreciate all your hard work!

1) Tonight, we will meet in the Hansen building like last week. So, we will not have YES groups this week. Try to keep up with your verses; you'll be able to say them to your table leaders when we meet next week.

2) Volunteers needed: as you know, we have our Community Christmas Banquet on December 8. We need quite a few youth volunteers to serve dinner that night. We will have a great time serving our guests, and pizza dinner is included! Please let me know ASAP if you're able to help!

3) The next Girl's Bible Study is at our house next Monday (11/12) from 7-8:30p. 

4) Our next SNAC is Sunday November 18. It's the return of the legendary Pie-Baking Contest! Please see attached for details!

5) Our next opportunity to serve at Willow Brooke Court is next Wednesday (11/14). Please plan to meet at the church at 5:30p.

Youth Announcements 10/3/18

Happy October!
Please see the following: 
1) Tonight we begin our Missions Conference, so we will be combined in the auditorium with the adults. We will have service each night the rest of this week starting at 7pm. Saturday, we have the Fall Festival at the Hutto's house- be sure to come out and (try to) dunk me in the dunking booth :). 
2) This Sunday, Missionary Sam Slobodian will be teaching our Sunday School in 305. Please try to be in Sunday School if at all possible, you won't want to miss it!
3) In two weeks (10/17), we will begin our ministry at Willow Brooke Court (skilled nursing facility affiliated with Park Pointe Village). Everyone who is able, please meet at the church at 5:30 that Wednesday night before church. We will take the church van over to Willow Brooke and  be back in time for church at 7. We will sing, read Scripture, and visit with the residents for about 30 minutes. They are very excited to have us come! 
4) Upcoming dates: our next game night is 10/19 and our next SNAC is 10/28.

4) Our Missions Conference here at Harvest starts next Wednesday, so we will not have YES groups next week. You all are encouraged to attend each night of the conference!

2- Sunday School officially starts this coming Sunday (9/9) in 305 (Junior High and Senior High combined). 

3- Our first Friday Night Game Night of the year is next Friday (9/14) from 7-9p at our house (4109 Pennington Rd). Please bring a game/snack/dessert to share! (drinks provided)

4- Memory verse program- tonight in YES groups, I'll be introducing our memory verse program for the year (which will correlate with the new children's program) and discussing our rewards system as well. Don't miss it!

Good morning! 

Hope you're doing well. A few announcements for you:

1) Our final Wednesday night of the summer is tonight! Hope you all can make it!

2) This Saturday (9/1) we will be playing paintball at Palmetto Hills Paintball in Rock Hill. We will play from 1-5p and the cost is $15/person. That includes the field fee, gun/air, mask, and 200 paintballs. We will meet at the church at 12:15p (each lunch ahead of time). Please let me know if you are planning to come so we can arrange transportation. Parents, please be sure to print/sign the waiver here. Please bring the signed waiver on the day of the event. 

3) In preparation for our Youth Service this fall (November 4), we will begin a preaching class on Sunday, September 9 at 4pm. We will meet from 4-4:45 each Sunday afternoon leading up to the Youth Service. If you would like to preach on 11/4, please plan to take the class and let me know ASAP.

4) Mark your calendars! YES Groups start up again next Wednesday night (9/5). Our first Friday Night Game Night of the school year is 9/14 at our house from 7-9pm. Our first SNAC of the school year is 9/23 following the evening service!
